9.11.01 , its Consequences as seen on Video.

Its the 6th anniversary of the Al Qaeda attack on the World Trade Centre in New York, and its at this time of year that we living in the western world now brace ourselves for a repetition of the events by other Al Qaeda inspired religious fanatics. Its a time to remember the victims of 9.11, men and women going about their lives on a crisp September morning murdered in cold blood. IN the video below the first hi-jacked plane hits the WTC.

Then another plane hits the other tower,

Its also a time to consider the consequences, if Osama Bin Laden had dreamed that by implementing this evil scheme, the armies of the USA and Britain would 6 years on be utterly bogged down in an unwinnable war in Iraq, with other Western armies seriously struggling in Afghanistan, any slight doubts he may have harboured about the World Trade Centre attack would have been completely allayed. This one 4 pronged operation would generate a result far beyond his wildest dreams, a flagging jihadist movement revitalised and empowered by the propoganda of the act itself, but above all fuelled for generations to come by the copious amounts of blood shed in the Islamic world in the so called 'response' to the Twin Towers outrage, the images of the blood shed by the USA on the people of Iraq is much less frequently found on our TV screens, but this footage below perhaps gives an indication of the impunity with which it can be executed. The 32 second exchange that leads to this US bomb hitting an Iraqi crowd demonstrates that actions of this kind are commonplace and the estimate of 1 million Iraqi's killed since the US- British invasion suggests a huge amount of blood-letting, at least partially inspired by some sentiment akin to revenge.

A 'response' that somehow encompassed oil rich Iraq, a country which had no weapons of mass destruction and no Al Qaeda presence at all. General Petraeus may suggest that the 'surge' is succeeding in its specific aims, but surely if one lesson can be learned from Vietnam it must be 'don't listen to General's assessments of how things are going in a war if you really want to know whats going on.The video below gives just a slight impression of the scale of armed resistance which the USA and the UK are still encountering, regardless of the spin being put on matters by the General.

In fact if Osama bin Laden could have specified the outcomes he had hoped might arise from the 9.11 'operation' its a reasonable bet that what has actually transpired, must have exceeded his most optimistic expectations. What views do you the readers have on this series of connected developments, in fact would the USA have invaded Iraq regardless of whether 9.11 occurred at all?

Osama bin Laden -- that old CIA employee... now, who does it benefit for him to be popping up in his dodgy beard?

You will forgive me if I doubt the official story of 9/11 as much as I doubted the official story of WMDs...

Well Charlie, I too must admit, in retrospect 9.11 proved to be geo-politically somewhat convenient to imperialism's bigger game, which is course all about 'peak oil'- google that term and a lot of things get set in perspective. Gabriel

If it was inly about peak oil, imperialism only had to make a deal with Saddam.

I think Bush believed he could transform the Middle East. When he found he couldn't, the peak oil idea is more correct.

The US had boxed themselves in over Saddam - sanctions meant that not enough oil was getting out - and in any event the US needed an excuse to be based there.

Watch what happens soon in Iran - new excuses are popping up every day giving reason to invade - then apply the same logic to Saddam.

One thing is one of the most widespread incentives for using your card is a cash-back as well as rebate offer. Generally, you're going to get 1-5% back on various purchases. Depending on the card, you may get 1% back on most purchases, and 5% back on purchases made in convenience stores, gas stations, grocery stores along with 'member merchants'.
